1. Read "Writing a Draft" on pages 110-118.
2. Pactice 1 on page 111 gives you a formal outline
and a thesis sentence. Each primary support can be
developed into the topic sentence for each paragraph
the supports each primary point in the outline.
Type ONLY a possible topic sentence for each primary support.
Be sure to state the practice number and the page numberat
the top of the page.
3. On page 115, complete Practice 4. Type the number and
after the number type an opening sentence for an
introduction based on the stated topic. Be sure to state
the practice number and the page number at the top of the
practice.
4. Pay particular attention to the examles of a conclution
{or closing} paragraph on pages 117-118.
