1. Read "The Simple Tenses" on pages 594-599; "The
Progressive Tenses" on pages 600-604; "The Perfect
Tenses" on pages 605-609. Look at the explanatory
rectangles that show you how to form these tenses.
Look in the Index to find more explanation and examples.
2. On pages 623-624, read "Prepositions" and go over
the various uses of the preposition. On page 390, look
over the Common Prepositions listed. On page 389-390,
read "A prepositional phrase is . . . .
3. Read your class notes to see if you understand
what we covered in class.
