Due Tuesday 1/26/10

1. Read "Use Prewriting Techniques" on pages 68-71.
OMIT "Using the Internet." List the five techniques and
a brief 1-2 sentence definition for each technique.
2. Study for the terms test. ADD THIS TERM: UTILITY
WORDS--words that have no specific meaning, that convey
feelings and have no concrete meaning, that are
non-specific. Remember that the terms test will include
the handout on personal pronouns.
3. Read "Capitialization" on pages 712-717. Pay particular
attention to the "specific" and the "Not specific" examples
on these pages
4. Read "Quotation Marks" on pages 696-701. Pay particular
attention to the guidelines for capitalization and punctuation
on page 697.
