Due 4/03/12--Engl 1301 and Thursday, 4/05/12

1. FOR TUESDAY:Read "Problems with Subject-Verb Agreement"
on pages 434-447. Read the following sentences, find any
subject-verb agreement errors, and CORRECT THE ERROR IF THERE IS
ONE. TYPE THE CORRECTED SENTENCES: (This will count as a test.)

2. Bring to class on TUESDAY all that you have written on the contrast
essay on children's toys.

1. Complete your essay assignment on contrasting
the toys for female children with the toys for
male children. Go to a large store and actually
look for the toys so that you can see, touch, and play
with the toys to give you more of a perspective
about the toys. See them as the children see them.

color is used for a specific reason. You can sent

2. Write a five paragraph essay complete with outline,
introductory paragraph, body consisting of at least
three paragraphs, and a closing paragraph. Use this
process: Write a draft, print that draft,revise and
proofread the printed draft as you mark
on the printed copy. Do not correct on the screen until
you have marked the printed draft. Then, make the corrections
on the screen, which should give you a final draft.

3.Print this draft and hand it in stapled with the outline on
TOP of the final copy, then the corrected marked draft,
and finally any prewriting you may have completed.
THIS WILL BE A GRADED ESSAY.
