2. Complete "Editing Review Test 7" on page 732.
As with the three previous Editing Review Tests,
type the number of the sentence containing the error,
type the specific error, and type a corrected version
of the sentence.
3. This assignemnt will carry the value of a grammar
test! This is a take-home test. You may use your book
or your class notes to complete this assignment. Good luck.

1. Read Editing Review Test 2 [page 724],Review Test3
[page 725],and Review Test 4 [page726]. Find the sentences
that contain the listed errors in each Review Test and
(1) type the sentence number,(2) type the kind of error each
sentence contains, and (3) type a corrected version for
each incorrect the sentence.
2. Your essay that we started in class on Tuesday , 4/02/10,
was due last Thursday.If you did not hand it in on Thursday,
You can still hand it in on Tuesday. 4/09/10, with a 10 point
penalty. If you hand it in on WEDNESDAY, the penalty is
20 points. On Thursday, the penalty will be 30 points.

1. Write and type a Plan of Development for this thesis
sentence: The State of Texas should [or should not]
regulate fast foods.

2. During class on 3/2/10 and 3/4/10, we discussed
introductory paragraphs for an essay and saw a PowerPoint
that presented six different methods to write an intro
paragraph. Using the thesis sentence "The State of Texas
should [not] regulate fast foods," type an example of each of
the six different methods to introduce the essay. Remember
that the intro paragraph should be 4-6 sentences. ABOVE
EACH PARAGRAPH, IDENTIFY THE METHOD THAT YOU ARE ILLUSTRATING.

3. On 3/4/10, we discussed and saw a PowerPoint on writing
ending [or closing] paragraphs: what to do and what NOT to
do. Using the same thesis sentence from 2. above, type an
example of each of the six different methods to end [or
close] an essay. Remember that this ending paragraph
should be 4-6 sentences. ABOVE EACH PARAGRAPH, IDENTIFY THE
METHOD THAT YOU ARE ILLUSTRATING.
